Profile

Adrian has been involved in multiple projects from competition and concept stages through to construction, including The Henderson in Hong Kong. He specialises in façade rationalisation, interior design, parametric design, and fabrication methodology — and integrates sustainability at the core of his approach.

Adrian is currently leading the International Gateway Centre in Hong Kong. Working with an international and multidisciplinary team, he brings clarity to complex ideas through creative visual communication.

Prior to joining ZHA, Adrian worked with architectural practices in Hong Kong and HOK architecture in London, focusing on later-stage delivery, execution, and on-site coordination for projects across London, Hong Kong, Malaysia, and the Middle East.

Education & Professional Philosophy

Adrian completed his Bachelor of Arts with Honours in Architecture at Northumbria University, receiving the highest mark of the faculty. He earned his Master of Architecture at the Bartlett School of Architecture (UCL) with Distinction. He actively contributes to architectural discourse as a visiting critic at the Bartlett (UCL), the Architectural Association (AA), and the Royal College of Art (RCA).

Coming from Hong Kong, Adrian provides cultural insights from Western and Eastern perspectives. His architectural philosophy is influenced by traditional Chinese painting, where negative space invites the observer’s imagination to complete the composition — a concept he sees reflected in architecture.
