With a strong emphasis on 3D modelling and computational skills, Hyunjin excels at translating 2D concepts into built forms. He believes that collaboration is key to project success and applies this philosophy to all aspects of his work.
Before joining ZHA, Hyunjin gained valuable experience at leading architectural practices in London. He spent seven years at Foster + Partners, where he worked on office, residential, and infrastructure projects, gaining knowledge in façade development and local regulations. His notable projects include Principal Tower and the Sugar Quay development in London. He also collaborated extensively with in-house MEP and structural teams on international projects, such as Tocumen International Airport in Panama.
Following this, Hyunjin worked at PLP Architecture, where he contributed to projects including the Embassy Gardens in Vauxhall during its construction phase. He joined WilkinsonEyre, where he worked on the core package of 141 Bay Street Tower in Toronto, and collaborated with the retail team for the Battersea Power Station in London, including on-site supervision and negotiation between various parties.

Featured Project
ZHA’s renovation and refurbishment of Le Schuylkill Tower respects the client’s wish to retain the design legacy of the existing structure by working within the constraints of the 60-year-old building, while at the same time, raising all living accommodation standards to those now expected by Monaco’s residents.
Hyunjin obtained a Bachelor of Arts in Furniture Design from Hong-ik University in Seoul and a Diploma in Architecture from the Architectural Association (AA) in London.
Outside of work, Hyunjin enjoys watching carpentry videos as a tactile balance to the digital tools he uses in practice. He also finds inspiration by wandering through the city and observing how people interact with spaces and how the built environment shapes daily life.

Projects
All scales, all sectors, all budgets. All around the world, and into the virtual world. From small product collaborations to grand masterplans. Whatever the iteration, ZHA’s core commitment never wavers: we are designing a better world.
