Prior to joining ZHA, Maria honed her expertise at international practices in Russia, Ireland, the Netherlands, and the United Kingdom, focusing on residential, retail, and mixed-use projects, from concept through to detailed design. She is currently engaged in a design and development in Saudi Arabia and UAE.

Located on Al Marjan Island in Ras Al Khaimah, UAE, Oystra is a 128,000 square metre seafront development of 950 one- to four-bedroom apartments, duplexes, penthouses, and waterfront villas, together with extensive shopping, dining and leisure amenities.
Maria completed her Bachelor and Master of Architecture from the Novosibirsk State University of Architecture and Art in Russia.
She is passionate about travelling, history, and exploring urban development around the world. She also enjoys artistic pursuits related to architecture, including music, cinematography, and art.
