Mariana’s work focuses on aligning financial strategy with organisational growth and fostering collaboration between creative and operational teams. She also chairs the Employee-Owned Architectural Group, a network of UK-based practices sharing knowledge and best practice in finance and business management.
Mariana’s early career in the insurance sector formed the foundation of her rigorous and detail-driven approach to finance. Before joining ZHA, Mariana led the finance team at Piercy & Company, where she supported the practice’s transition to employee ownership and introduced new financial systems and forecasting models that enhanced accuracy, governance, and operational efficiency.

Mariana holds a MSc in Economic Sciences (Audit and Assurance), a BSc (Hons) in Accounting and Economics and is ACCA qualified. Passionate about making finance a transparent and empowering part of creative practice, Mariana values clarity, collaboration, and long-term sustainability in her approach.
