Ziming has over ten years of experience in independent architectural practices and more than five years in computational design programming. Since joining ZHA in 2018, he has focused on applying agent-based simulations to investigate social interaction within architectural environments. His research on new methodologies enhances design possibilities and is implemented in parallel design projects within the office.
As an architect and researcher, Ziming excels at solving challenges with new technologies, integrating and organising technical routes using a coherent interface system, and ensuring a high level of functional completion while optimising user experiences in applications, video, and interaction design.

Research
Led by a culture of research, ZHA is always ahead of the curve because we never stop learning: experimenting, testing, refining, seeking. Anticipating challenges and developing solutions. Envisioning new possibilities, and finding ways to build them.

Ziming received his Bachelor of Architecture from the School of Architecture at China Central Academy of Fine Art in Beijing. He studied a Master of Architecture in Architectural Design (B-Pro) at the Bartlett School of Architecture (UCL) in London. He has been teaching as a technical tutor on robotics skills and coding at the Bartlett since 2019.
Ziming enjoys the therapeutic aspects of archery and analysing the fine production of video games, particularly how modelling materials are optimised for smooth performance.

Projects
All scales, all sectors, all budgets. All around the world, and into the virtual world. From small product collaborations to grand masterplans. Whatever the iteration, ZHA’s core commitment never wavers: we are designing a better world.
