Since joining ZHA in 2007, Cristina Capanna has been involved in a wide range of large-scale international projects. Her experience spans residential, office, museum, retail, mixed-use developments, and masterplans.

Profile

Cristina first worked on the CityLife Residences in Italy before relocating to London in 2013. She manages international interdisciplinary teams of designers and architects, overseeing all components of project delivery and liaising with clients and consultants across design and business aspects.

 

Prior to joining ZHA, Cristina gained valuable experience working with emerging and experimental architectural practices in Italy. With strong communication skills and patience, she navigates complex challenges with a proactive problem-solving attitude and fosters collaboration and understanding between internal and external teams.

Education & Professional Philosophy

Cristina earned her Bachelor of Architecture from Gabriele d'Annunzio University in Italy.

 

Cristina’s background as a volleyball player has shaped her collaborative approach to architecture. At home, she enjoys cooking, hosting dinners, and spending time with friends, family, and her cat Naomi.
