Maria-Christina's professional experience across Greece and the UK has focused primarily on infrastructure and sports projects, combining strong conceptual thinking with technical expertise to deliver large-scale projects.
Prior to joining ZHA, Maria-Christina worked at Wilkinson Eyre, where she led the schematic and technical design of key packages for major railway projects across London and the UK.

From an airport that will serve 60 million passengers a year, to generous living accommodation situated on the beach at Surfside, discover highlights of Maria-Christina's notable projects at ZHA.
Maria-Christina completed her Diploma in Architecture and Engineering at the University of Thessaly in Greece, including one semester at the Technical University of Darmstadt. She obtained her Master of Science with Honours in Emergent Technologies and Design from the Architectural Association (AA) in London. She completed the IATA Airport Terminal Planning and Design course in Geneva with Distinction.
In addition to her studio work, Maria-Christina has been involved in a range of creative projects including residential renovations in the UK and Greece, as well as digital art and illustration work. Outside the office, Maria-Christina enjoys swimming, photography, and videography.

Offices
Adjacent to the West Kowloon Cultural District, the 3.2 million sq. ft. development above Hong Kong’s High Speed Rail West Kowloon Terminus connects established and emerging neighbourhoods with a network of public gardens and landscaped plazas.

Transport + Infrastructure
Phase One of the new Bishoftu International Airport (BIA) will serve 60 million passengers a year. Further phases will serve up to 110 million passengers annually with four runways and parking for 270 aircraft.

Situated on the beach at Surfside, The Delmore’s design is defined by its location and environment. ZHA’s detailed analysis of the oceanfront site mapped fluctuations in solar radiation, temperature, humidity, prevailing winds, air quality, rainfall, in addition to the variable ground and sea conditions throughout every day of the year.
