About Martina

Since joining ZHA in 2016, Martina Rosati has played an instrumental role in several high-profile projects and competitions across China and Europe.

Profile

Martina works across a variety of typologies, from residential and hospitality to office, cultural, and masterplanning projects. Her experience spans both initial concept development and later construction stages. She has successfully led design packages and contributed to large-scale, complex projects, consistently delivering high-quality results within fast-paced project cycles. With a strong foundation in design and workflow, Martina excels at managing intricate building programs, fostering collaboration across international and multidisciplinary teams, and providing clear, strategic direction during critical project stages.

 

Prior to joining ZHA, Martina worked with Dewan Architects and Engineers in Dubai, Balmond Studio in London, and Mario Cucinella Architects in Italy.

Education & Professional Philosophy

Martina earned her Bachelor of Architecture Honours in Architectural Science and Master of Architecture Honours in Architectural Design from the University of Florence, with a year studying at KU Leuven's Sint-Lucas Brussels Campus. She received her Master of Architecture and Urbanism from the Design Research Laboratory (DRL) at the Architectural Association (AA) in London. Martina also taught the Master of Architecture programme at the Bartlett School of Architecture (UCL) for four years and has led workshops in Italy and Bulgaria.

 

Martina aspired to become an architect from an early age, a goal that shaped her passionate and versatile approach to the field. Her work philosophy closely mirrors her personality, characterised by curiosity and a drive to explore diverse experiences, from being a ski instructor to pursuing photography.
