About Taizhong

Taizhong Chen is a Lead Designer in the ZHA Computation and Design Group (ZHA CODE), a practice-embedded research unit that specialises in bridging architectural design intent with research-driven, computational methodologies.

Profile

Taizhong’s work spans contributing to built projects, technology demonstrators, and experimental digital environments. He serves as a one of the developers of a computational framework created by ZHA CODE, which has been successfully implemented on large-scale projects such as the Greater Bay Area Sports Centre in China and the NatPowerH Hydrogen Refuelling Stations in Italy. He focuses on developing structurally optimised and fabrication-efficient design, as well as design visualisation, simulation, and collaborative workflows through emerging platforms.
