Profile

Victor joined ZHA in 2007 and has since built a diverse portfolio that includes residential, mixed-use, office, transportation, and cultural projects. His work emphasises harmony between symbolic design and sustainability through the use of parametric tools, optimised geometries, and environmentally considered materials. With a versatile background in both design and technical delivery, he has extensive experience working with UK planning and building regulations. He contributed to the ZHA Low Carbon Strategy Handbook, enhancing collective awareness of the environmental impact of ZHA’s work and setting new standards for sustainable design. Leading a multidisciplinary team, he brings a true passion for architecture and values collaboration with professionals from diverse backgrounds.

Prior to joining ZHA, Victor gained valuable experience from working on a high-rise tower in Madrid.

Education & Professional Philosophy

Victor earned his seven-year Architect Degree from the Polytechnic University of Madrid and his Master of Architecture and Urbanism from the Design Research Laboratory (DRL) at the Architectural Association (AA) in London. He also studied architecture at the Technical University of Berlin as part of the Erasmus Programme. From 2011 to 2013, he taught parametric design and urbanism and served as a co-director for the AA Visiting School in Buenos Aires, Argentina.

In contrast to the innovative nature of his work, Victor has a taste for vintage collections, particularly books and vinyl records. On weekends, he enjoys exploring secondhand bookshops and stargazing at home with his telescopes.
