Yifan has played a key role in the design and delivery of several significant cultural projects, including the Changsha Meixihu International Culture and Arts Centre, Songshan Lake Exhibition and Theatre, and the Zhuhai Jinwan Civic Art Centre. Most recently, he worked oin the Unicorn Island Masterplan, a major mixed-use development.
Yifan’s international experience includes working with renowned firms such as HOK International in London and Jasmax in New Zealand.

Start-up exhibition and conference centre
Yifan holds a Bachelor of Architecture with Honours from Victoria University of Wellington, where he received the award for Best Final Year Design, and a Master of Architecture with Distinction from the Architectural Association's Design Research Laboratory (AA DRL) in London.

Grand Theatre, Small Theatre, Art Museum
Culture
The new Culture & Arts Centre by ZHA incorporates a contemporary art museum (MICA), an 1,800-seat theatre with supporting facilities and a multipurpose hall. Its organic architectural language is defined by pedestrian routes that weave through the site to connect with neighbouring streets.

Masterplans
A mixed-use masterplan for 70,000 researchers, office staff, residents and visitors, Unicorn Island has been designed to enhance the well-being of its community; its design influenced by principles within the region’s historical natural engineering projects.

Culture
Integrating three distinct cultural institutions for the city, each venue within the Zhuhai Jinwan Civic Arts Centre incorporates unique characteristics that create differing visitor experiences, yet all are united by a coherent formal and structural logic that spans 170 meters wide from east to west and 270 meters long from north to south.

Offices
Powered by its solar array and equipped with next-generation technologies for operations at LEED Platinum standards, the new BEEAH Headquarters has been designed to achieve net-zero and will be the group’s management and administrative centre that sets a new benchmark for future workplaces.
