Zrinka holds a Bachelor of Engineering in Civil Engineering from the University of Zagreb in Croatia and spent a year in the undergraduate programme at the Architectural Association (AA) in London. She earned her Master of Architecture from the Institute for Advanced Architecture of Catalonia (IAAC) in Barcelona, where she worked as a teaching assistant under Enric Ruiz-Geli (Cloud 9) and Mireia Luzárraga (TAKK).
During her time at IAAC, she developed a keen interest in design methodologies associated with geometry, materiality, and fabrication. She has also served as a guest critic at institutions in Croatia, Spain, and the US and has represented ZHA at conferences, contributing to discussions on innovation and emerging technologies.
Zrinka’s international upbringing and education have shaped her ability to think creatively and adapt to diverse perspectives. Outside of architecture, she enjoys baking and pastry-making and would like to become more proficient in the future.

Transport + Infrastructure
A multi-modal transport hub for the city’s commuters as well as international rail passengers and air travellers using the adjacent Tallinn Airport, the Ülemiste Passenger Terminal is designed as a connecting bridge linking together districts of Tallinn currently separated by the railway tracks that dissect the city.

Offices
Integrated within the Vilnius City Plan and the popular public square adjacent to the site, Business Stadium Central will be a new gathering place for the city.

Residential
The renovation and redevelopment of Mercury House integrates residential apartments and a boutique hotel within Malta’s most dynamic urban environment. Creating new public spaces and amenities for the island’s residents and visitors, the design responds to Paceville’s key urban challenges by investing in its civic realm and increasing its limited housing supply.

Heritage + Regeneration
Repurposing an existing shipping warehouse built in 1960 into a new 20,000 sq. m ferry and cruise ship terminal, ZHA’s design adds a fourth level to the structure to incorporate public terraces with panoramic views of the Daugava River and the skyline of Riga’s city centre, a designated UNESCO World Heritage Site.
