Juan has contributed to the delivery high-profile projects, including the Guangzhou Opera House and the Jockey Club Innovation Tower for Hong Kong Polytechnic University, through concept to completion. Spending time in Nanjing, she worked on the design and development of the Jumeirah Nanjing Hotel & International Youth Cultural Centre. Her role encompassed coordinating with external teams and ensuring a seamless transition through all project stages towards completion.

Juan completed her Master of Architecture with the China Central Academy of Fine Arts in Beijing and her Master of Architecture and Urbanism from the Design Research Laboratory (DRL) at the Architectural Association (AA) in London, where she studied under Patrik Schumacher.
Coming from northern China, Juan finds inspiration in her homeland’s vast landscapes, symbolising the continuity and transformation of history and life. This has shaped her work, blending cultural heritage with dynamic growth, honouring the past while embracing changes for the future.

Culture
At the heart of Guangzhou’s cultural sites development, a lasting, state-of-the-art monument to the new millennium overlooking the Pearl River. Its contoured profile, unique twin boulder design and approach promenade enhances urban function, opens access to the riverside and dock areas and creates a new dialogue with the emerging town.

The Jockey Club Innovation Tower (JCIT) is home to the Hong Kong Polytechnic University (PolyU) School of Design, and the Jockey Club Design Institute for Social Innovation.

Grand Theatre, Small Theatre, Art Museum
Culture
The new Culture & Arts Centre by ZHA incorporates a contemporary art museum (MICA), an 1,800-seat theatre with supporting facilities and a multipurpose hall. Its organic architectural language is defined by pedestrian routes that weave through the site to connect with neighbouring streets.

Mixed Use
The Nanjing International Youth Cultural Centre harnessed the energy of the 2014 Youth Olympic Games to create a project with a lasting legacy that has enhanced and also regenerated its setting; acting as both an anchor and a catalyst for future investment in Nanjing’s Hexi New Town.

Beijing Daxing International Airport is a new airport in the Daxing district 46km south of the city centre (20 minutes by express train).

Located on Lize Road in southwest Beijing, Leeza SOHO tower anchors the new Fengtai business district; a growing financial and transport hub between the city centre and the recently opened Beijing Daxing International Airport to the south.

Infinitus Plaza is the new global headquarters of Infinitus China. Incorporating work environments designed to nurture connectivity, creativity and entrepreneurship, the new headquarters also includes the group’s herbal medicine research facilities and safety assessment labs as well as a learning centre for conferences and exhibitions.

Offices
Conceived as four interconnected towers reaching a height of 200m (42 floors), the 185,000 sq.m design incorporates two towers of flexible, open-plan spaces linked by a 20-storey vertical lobby, and two external service towers providing vertical circulation.
