About Kutbuddin

Kutbuddin Nadiadi joined ZHA in 2008, bringing 20 years of architectural experience across all aspects of design and project management. His expertise spans a wide range of project typologies, including residential, mixed-use, office, and cultural developments.

Profile

Since joining ZHA, Kutbuddin has applied his extensive knowledge to overseeing projects from early design stages through to completion, ensuring effective coordination and communication between various teams. He has contributed to award-winning projects and led the delivery of key packages to meet client expectations. With a comprehensive background in project management and nearly 35 years of experience, he expertly liaises between teams and stakeholders, ensuring project success. In addition to his project work, he leverages his accumulated skills and background to mentor younger architects, guiding them in managing projects efficiently while sharing valuable insights from his wealth of experience in architecture.

 

Prior to joining ZHA, Kutbuddin worked as Architect at David Quigley Architects and as Partner at Blonski Head Architects and Andrzej Blonski Architects, where he designed and completed several performing arts buildings in the UK.

Education & Professional Philosophy

Kutbuddin received his Bachelor of Science in Architecture from the University of East London and earned his Diploma in Architecture with Distinction from the Canterbury School of Architecture. He has taught and served as a guest critic at the University of Cambridge, Architectural Association School of Architecture (AA), and Canterbury School of Architecture.

 

Kutbuddin grew up in London, spending much of his early life rooted in the UK. Upon qualifying as an architect, he embarked on a transformative journey, solo-backpacking for a year around the world, which pushed him out of his comfort zone to become a more relaxed and authentic version of himself.
