With years of built experience, Mei-Ling experience spans from general architectural design to façade design and engineering. Her early career focused on projects in China, including Sky SOHO in Shanghai. More recently, she has contributed to the Zhuhai Jinwan Civic Art Centre and the Unicorn Island Masterplan in China.
With extensive expertise spanning from concept design through to construction, Mei-Ling's experience expands beyond Asia. She currently leads the Oystra mixed-use development i Dubai.

Mei-Ling completed her Bachelor of Architecture from Tamkang University in Taiwan and her Master of Architecture and Urbanism from the Design Research Laboratory (DRL) at the Architectural Association (AA) in London.
Mei-Ling ‘s approach to architecture is deeply personal and empathetic. She enjoys observing how spaces evoke emotions and how subtle elements breathe life into design, especially through travelling and photography. She believes that creating emotional connections that resonate with users is essential to meaningful architecture.

Culture
Integrating three distinct cultural institutions for the city, each venue within the Zhuhai Jinwan Civic Arts Centre incorporates unique characteristics that create differing visitor experiences, yet all are united by a coherent formal and structural logic that spans 170 meters wide from east to west and 270 meters long from north to south.

Located on Al Marjan Island in Ras Al Khaimah, UAE, Oystra is a 128,000 square metre seafront development of 950 one- to four-bedroom apartments, duplexes, penthouses, and waterfront villas, together with extensive shopping, dining and leisure amenities.

Start-up exhibition and conference centre
Masterplans
A mixed-use masterplan for 70,000 researchers, office staff, residents and visitors, Unicorn Island has been designed to enhance the well-being of its community; its design influenced by principles within the region’s historical natural engineering projects.

Located in the Linkong Economic Park within the Hongqiao Business Zone, served by its transportation hub with subway and rail, and close to Shanghai city centre and the airport, Sky Soho connects multinational, national and local enterprises with local residents.
