With contribution from conceptual design to construction, Nan has played a pivotal role in key ZHA projects, including Infinitus Plaza in Guangzhou and the CECEP Shanghai Campus. Her expertise covers various building typologies, including headquarters, residential, office, retail, and cultural complexes. She is currently leading the Jinghe New City Culture & Art Centre in Xi’an. In the Beijing office, Nan has organised workshops targeting the Chinese market and established the office’s material library.
Prior to ZHA, Nan worked as a landscape architect at Shanghai Tongji Urban Planning & Design Institute, contributing to projects such as the Sunrise Kempinski Hotel in Beijing.

Nan received her Bachelor of Arts in Architectural Design with distinction from Tongji University in Shanghai and her Master of Architecture from the Bartlett School of Architecture (UCL). She has participated in juries at Beijing Institute of Fashion Technology and contributed to ZHA exhibitions, including The New World exhibition at the Guardian Art Centre in Beijing.
Nan believes architecture transcends technology and skills. Great architecture should communicate emotion to create meaningful spaces. Outside of work, she enjoys Chinese dance, yoga, piano, and theatre.

Culture
Jinghe New City is growing as a science and technology hub north of Xi’an in China’s Shaanxi province. Supported by new scientific research institutes and driven by environmental considerations, the city is becoming a centre for developing industries focusing on new energy and materials, artificial intelligence and aerospace.

Offices
The 218,000m² campus sets new benchmarks for the city in energy conservation, energy efficiency and sustainability.

Mixed Use
Infinitus Plaza is the new global headquarters of Infinitus China. Incorporating work environments designed to nurture connectivity, creativity and entrepreneurship, the new headquarters also includes the group’s herbal medicine research facilities and safety assessment labs as well as a learning centre for conferences and exhibitions.

Conceived as four interconnected towers reaching a height of 200m (42 floors), the 185,000 sq.m design incorporates two towers of flexible, open-plan spaces linked by a 20-storey vertical lobby, and two external service towers providing vertical circulation.

The new Taikang Financial Centre will be a centre of excellence, developing effective systems and networks that will provide a new ecosystem of support for people of all ages across China. Using the new technologies developed within the Taikang Financial Centre, the group will continue its commitment to supporting community development, healthcare, education and well-being throughout the country.

Residential
The renovation and redevelopment of Mercury House integrates residential apartments and a boutique hotel within Malta’s most dynamic urban environment. Creating new public spaces and amenities for the island’s residents and visitors, the design responds to Paceville’s key urban challenges by investing in its civic realm and increasing its limited housing supply.
