About Roberta

Roberta Sartori joined ZHA in 2016, bringing a wealth of experience in managing complex cultural, mixed-use, aviation, and residential projects. Specialising in interior design, she leads teams through all phases of design and delivery, coordinating closely with clients and consultants to ensure project success.

Profile

At ZHA, Roberta has contributed to key projects across China, Italy, Hong Kong, India, Saudi Arabia, and Monaco. Notable projects include The Henderson Tower in Hong Kong, Tower C at Shenzhen Bay Super Headquarters Base, and the Navi Mumbai International Airport in India. 

 

Prior to joining ZHA, Roberta focused on interior design commissions for private clients and product designs in Italy and New York. She worked with award-winning architectural practices in Italy, Spain, and the UK, including Roger Stirk Harbour + Partners, Aldo Cibic & Partners, and Juan Herreros Arquitectos. Her past projects include Heathrow Terminal T2A, the new Abengoa Headquarters in Seville, the 18th C Ristori Theatre in Italy, and exhibition design at the 10th Venice Architecture Biennale.

Education & Professional Philosophy

Roberta gained her Master of Architecture with honours at IUAV University of Venice in Italy and studied abroad for one year at Helsinki University of Technology (Aalto) in Finland. With a strong background in product and interior design, Roberta has taught at Domus Academy, Polytechnic University of Milan, and the Istituto Europeo di Design in Madrid.

 

Roberta co-founded Recession Design, a collective of independent designers promoting DIY design principles. Their work is published in the book Recession Design: Design Fai da te.
