Inspired by the Handley Page aircraft, the design is driven by equations of airflow used in the aviation industry. The layout and lines of the gallery represent the air that would have flowed around this historic aircraft in flight, from the positioning of the showcases and benches to the three-dimensional curved surfaces of the central pod structure.

Education & Professional Philosophy

Sai earned his Bachelor of Architecture from the M.S. Ramaiah School of Architecture in Bangalore and his Master of Architecture and Urbanism from the Design Research Laboratory (DRL) at the Architectural Association (AA) in London. He has presented ZHA projects in lectures and events, including Studio Lates at the London Festival of Architecture (LFA).

Sai has motorcycled from Cornwall to Scotland along the western coast of the UK, documenting his adventures with a camera and hoping to create coffee table books of his journeys one day.
