Sara has been a key contributor to some of ZHA’s most high-profile and award-winning projects. She was the project director for the BEEAH Headquarters in the UAE, which incorporated advanced sustainable technologies to achieve LEED Platinum certification, and a lead designer and key member of the Heydar Aliyev Centre in Azerbaijan, the recipient of the 2014 Design of the Year Award. Her expertise spans a wide range of typologies, encompassing complex geometries, digital design rationalisation, project delivery packages, and on-site construction supervision.
She ensures effective coordination between internal teams and external collaborators, developing innovative design concepts into built reality. She also dedicates time to mentoring young architects, and contributes to international exhibitions and academic lectures that support the broader architectural community.

Residential
There is a powerful urban dynamic between the streets of New York and the High Line, a layered civic realm that has developed over generations and in many iterations. 520 West 28th conveys this contextual relationship, applying new ideas and concepts to create the latest evolution of the site’s rich history.

Sports
The Eco Park stadium for Forest Green Rovers will be an important addition for the community. The club’s heritage, ambition and vision reflect ZHA’s own, combining the latest material research and construction techniques with new design approaches to build a more ecologically sustainable and inclusive architecture.

Culture
ZHA was appointed as design architects of the Heydar Aliyev Center in 2007. The Center, designed to become the primary building for the nation’s cultural programs, breaks from the rigid and often monumental Soviet architecture that is so prevalent in Baku, aspiring instead to express the sensibilities of Azeri culture and the optimism of a nation that looks to the future.
