Three projects by ZHA are shortlisted for the 2023 WAN Awards; Mews House, London in the ‘House of the Year’ category; International Convention Centre and Theatres, Tahiti, in the ‘Future Projects - Multi Use’ category; and ZHA-EAA Tents for Refugee and Displaced Communities in the ‘Humanitarian’ category.

Uniting interior spaces with a series of sculptural elements that have evolved from the same fluid architectural language; the central connecting feature being a pleated staircase designed specifically for the house that has been sculpted in high-performance polished concrete.

Project
Designed for use as schools, clinics and emergency shelters in refugee and displaced communities, the tents are a joint venture between ZHA and the Education Above All Foundation (EAA)
