Zaha Hadid 1950-2016: The Explosion Reforming Space

This concise volume, originally published in 2016, offers an essential introduction to the career and philosophy of the late Zaha Hadid. Available in four languages, it presents 27 key projects of Zaha’s works that capture the transformation of her architectural language.

Richly illustrated with photographs, descriptions, conceptual studies, technical drawings, and Hadid’s own drawings, the book also includes a world map highlighting the geographic breadth of her work. From the Vitra Fire Station in Germany (1991-93) to the Investcorp Building in the UK (2013-15), the book traces the evolution of her language from her early sharply angled buildings to later more fluid compositions where floors, ceilings, walls, and furniture form cohesive, dynamic environments.
