Domenico’s expertise spans design leadership, project management, and team coordination. He has led significant portions of infrastructure developments such as the King Abdullah Financial District Metro Station in Riyadh and Napoli-Afragola High Speed Train Station in Italy, overseeing design execution, material performance, regulatory compliance, and interdisciplinary coordination. He is currently overseeing the construction phase of the Centre of Mediterranean Culture in Italy.
Before joining ZHA, Demonico worked for architectural practices in Italy.

Domenico holds a Master’s Degree in Building Engineering-Architecture from L’Aquila University in Italy, where he also served for several years as a tutor in Architectural Composition.
Domenico comes from Italy, and his design approach has been profoundly shaped by Italy’s artistic and architectural heritage. Outside the office, he is passionate about all forms of art, architecture, and design.

Culture
Located on a narrow strait, separating continental Italy from Sicily, the Regium Waterfront marks the city of Reggio Calabria as a Mediterranean cultural capital. Drawing inspiration from the radial symmetry of the starfish, the structure, housing museum and performing arts centre, stands as a beacon visible from land and sea.

KAFD Metro Station will serve as a key interchange on the new network for the Blue Line (Line 1) with the terminus of the Yellow Line to the airport (Line 4) and the Purple Line (Line 6) as well as a skybridge connecting to the local KAFD monorail.
