Fabian is a strong leader and talented architect experienced in stakeholder coordination, particularly on large-scale international projects. With extensive experience leading projects from concept to construction, he has worked on the Serpentine North Gallery in London and King Abdullah Petroleum Studies and Research Centre in Riyadh. He also led the site supervision phase for Opus in Dubai, ensuring the project’s seamless execution. His diverse expertise has given him a deep understanding of the technical, regulatory, and cultural requirements of different projects.

Featured Project
The modular design generates consistent organisational, spatial and structural strategies that drive all elements of the plan. The six sides of the hexagonal cells also offer greater opportunities for increased connectivity when compared to rectangular cells with only four sides.

Culture
Heritage + Regeneration
The Serpentine North Gallery consists of two distinct parts, namely the conversion of a classical 19th century brick structure – The Magazine – and a 21st century tensile structure. The Serpentine North Gallery is thus – after MAXXI in Rome – the second art space where ZHA has created a synthesis of old and new.

Culture
An enclosed interactive space spanning the River Ebro to form a gateway to the Zaragoza Expo 2008, a hybrid of pedestrian footbridge and exhibition pavilion. Four structural elements correspond to specific spatial enclosures, which intersect and brace each other. This fluid, dynamic design interprets the Expo’s theme: ‘Water and Sustainable Development.’

Mixed Use
Offices
Home to the new ME Dubai hotel, the Opus is located in the Burj Khalifa district adjacent to Downtown Dubai and Business Bay on the Dubai Water Canal. Exploring the balance between solid and void, opaque and transparent, interior and exterior, the design was presented by ZHA in 2007. It is the only hotel in which the firm designed both the architecture and the interiors to such an intricate degree, including bathrooms and furniture within the scope.

Offices
Our Central Building for BMW constituted a radical reinterpretation of the traditional office – transforming the building and the functions it contains into a more dynamic, engaging ‘nerve-centre’ or ‘communication knot’ – funneling all movement around the manufacturing complex through a space that transcends conventional white collar/blue collar spatial divisions.

Sports
The Eco Park stadium for Forest Green Rovers will be an important addition for the community. The club’s heritage, ambition and vision reflect ZHA’s own, combining the latest material research and construction techniques with new design approaches to build a more ecologically sustainable and inclusive architecture.
