About Subharthi

Since joining ZHA in 2010, Subharthi Guha has contributed to key projects, including the King Abdullah Financial District Metro Station in Riyadh, Generali Tower at CityLife in Milan, Studio City Phase 2 in Macau, and Aarhus Stadium in Denmark.

Profile

Subharthi's expertise spans high-end residential, commercial, transportation, infrastructure, and retail sectors. During his time with ZHA, Subharthi has worked on projects at all stages, from concept design and competition entries to leading in-house teams and supervising construction on-site.

 

Subharthi ongoing research into new growth models for city planning and urban reconfigurations have been published, awarded, and adopted as part of urban advisory boards in India, UN and the UK.

Education & Professional Philosophy

Subharthi completed his Bachelor of Architecture from the School of Planning and Architecture in New Delhi and holds Master of Architecture and Urbanism from the Design Research Laboratory (DRL) at the Architectural Association (AA) in London. In 2021 he was awarded the title Honorary Professor at Xi’an Jiaotong-Liverpool University (XJTLU) for his contributions in the Field of Architecture.

 
He has taught & lectured at prominent institutions worldwide, including the AA in London, XJTLU in China, NewSchool San Diego, Washington State, University of Maryland, Savannah College of Art & Design in the US, CEPT Ahmedabad, Sharda and SPA Delhi/Vijayawada in India.


Passionate about art, Subharthi started painting at age 5, which shaped his artistic vision for architecture. He enjoys participating in art exhibitions, running half marathons, and tennis.
