About Shao-Wei

Shao-wei Huang is the Head of ZHA’s Shenzhen Office, where he helps to lead the practice’s operations in China and Southeast Asia. With over two decades of international experience, Shao-wei has helped to drive ZHA’s growth in these regions.

Profile

With extensive experience in high-rise, cultural, infrastructure, Transit-Oriented Development (TOD), masterplanning, and healthcare typologies, Shao-wei has contributed to significant projects, including as project architect of ZHA’s first 300-metre super high-rise, the Nanjing International Youth Cultural Centre, and in project coordination on the Beijing Daxing International Airport. His experience/oversight leadership has also been pivotal in the development of the Navi Mumbai Airport in India and the Danjiang Bridge in Taipei, the world’s largest asymmetrical cable-stayed bridge.
 
Shao-wei actively pursues new opportunities and develop the firm's presence in the region. He helps to drive initiatives in developing healthcare and technology-related building typologies. He also supports staff with professional opportunities and guidance in the Shenzhen office.

Danjiang Bridge 

Spanning the Tamsui River northwest of Taipei, the design is the world’s longest single-mast, asymmetric cable-stayed bridge and integral to the infrastructure upgrading program of northern Taiwan.
