During Yang’s early years at the London office, she contributed to numerous competitions, many of which are now built, gaining firsthand experience of ZHA’s early expansion.
In 2005, Yang relocated to Guangzhou for five years to work on the design and construction of the Guangzhou Opera House, leading design packages from concept to completion, which marked ZHA’s first project in China and across Asia.
In 2010, Yang moved to Beijing, where she has since successfully delivered numerous high-profile projects, including Leeza SOHO, the Chengdu Science Fiction Museum, and Beijing Daxing International Airport. Her role at the Beijing office is multifaceted, involving management, acquiring new projects, and overseeing ongoing work. She serves as a key liaison between teams and provides critical support to project leaders in navigating complex design and construction challenges. With over 20 projects currently under construction in China, Yang plays a crucial role in leading various aspects of design and project delivery while fostering strong relationships with clients and stakeholders.
