At ZHA, Jinqi has been an important contributor in quite a few high-profile projects in China. Throughout her involvement with the design team and in the coordination with clients and consultants, she focuses on the efficiency of how a project is designed and delivered, while ensuring the highest standard of design and client satisfaction.
Beyond her project responsibilities, Jinqi is dedicated to fostering the professional growth of junior architects. She actively mentors colleagues, sharing her wealth of knowledge and experience to encourage their development.

Jinqi studied architecture in China and completed her Master of Architecture and Urbanism from the Design Research Laboratory (DRL) at the Architectural Association (AA) in London. Her education and professional journey have equipped her to address complex challenges with creative and inclusive solutions.
Exposure to diverse cultures has shaped Jinqi’s ability to design spaces that are both visually compelling and contextually responsive. Beyond her professional pursuits, she finds inspiration through painting, exploring exhibitions, and photography.

Education
The Jockey Club Innovation Tower (JCIT) is home to the Hong Kong Polytechnic University (PolyU) School of Design, and the Jockey Club Design Institute for Social Innovation.

Grand Theatre, Small Theatre, Art Museum
Culture
The new Culture & Arts Centre by ZHA incorporates a contemporary art museum (MICA), an 1,800-seat theatre with supporting facilities and a multipurpose hall. Its organic architectural language is defined by pedestrian routes that weave through the site to connect with neighbouring streets.

Hospitality
The world’s first free-form high-rise exoskeleton optimises the interiors by creating spaces that are uninterrupted by supporting walls or columns. Three horizontal vortices generate the voids through the building and define the hotel’s dramatic internal public spaces.

Sports
Located within Hangzhou’s Future Science and Technology Cultural District, the sports centre establishes a new riverfront park and public plazas with direct access to Lines 3 and 5 of the city’s expanding metro network.

Culture
Located at the entrance to Sanya’s harbour, the new cultural district by ZHA is adjacent to the Jiangang Road terminus of Sanya’s tram network that connects many of the residential and hotel districts on Sanya Bay with the city’s high-speed rail station.

Culture
Integrating three distinct cultural institutions for the city, each venue within the Zhuhai Jinwan Civic Arts Centre incorporates unique characteristics that create differing visitor experiences, yet all are united by a coherent formal and structural logic that spans 170 meters wide from east to west and 270 meters long from north to south.

Masterplans
The future Huanggang Port Area masterplan in Shenzhen, China will be an important node of the Guangzhou-Shenzhen Science and Technology Corridor, creating a hub of scientific research and collaboration in industries such as microelectronics, material development, artificial intelligence, robotics, and medical sciences.
